Steam Generator Services

Reactor Vessel Top Head Inpsections
NRC mandated reactor vessel head inspections have proven to be both costly and time-consuming. With limited access, high dose rates, and the NRC’s documentation expectations, the upper head has posed a constant challenge for the utility. With this in mind, Jamko’s engineers have custom designed a crawler to meet the demanding criteria for this inspection.
Bottom Mounted Instrumentation Inspections
Mandated reactor vessel inspections have posed a challenge for utilities. The insulation configuration, lack of access, location, dose concerns, and the NRC’s documentation expectations have the lower head inspection as an application best suited for Remote Visual Inspection. Service Water Inspections
Remote visual inspection may be used exclusively to quickly and accurately diagnose service water lining and piping discontinuities or complement various other NDT methods. Jamko’s arsenal of robotic inspection crawlers vary in size and can travel up to 1100 feet. Non-intrusive remote cleaning for suspect areas is also available. Boiler Inspections
Scale build-up and ligament/spider cracking as well as other discontinuities are easily documented with remote visual inspection tooling and Jamko’s experienced staff. Loose part retrievals such as vortex eliminators, baffl e plates, strainer baskets, desuperheater spray liners/nozzles in addition to various other foreign objects can be removed in a quick and cost effective manor utilizing Jamko’s loose part retrieval experts.

Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) is often used to view turbine blades for cracks, distortion, foreign debris, blocked cooling holes, combustion deposits, scale formation, erosion, burning, coating loss, etc. Jamko’s team of skilled professionals equipped with the latest in RVI technology can seamlessly perform these inspections providing quality detailed inspection data.
