Drum Cleaning & Inspection | Job Date: July 2005
BP Products, a fuel refinery, needed to inspect the upper head portions of two drums. The purpose of the inspection is to determine the presents of any debris that may represent a hazard to workers accessing the vessel from below. If a hazard existed, it would then have to be cleaned and re-inspected for safe working conditions.
From the top access point, the Jamko crew was able to lower a pole camera down into the drum to inspect the ceiling of the drum for debris. After locating sections of concern, the crew cleaned any build-up with a special tool Jamko manufactured for these applications. The drums were then re-inspected to verify potential hazards had been removed.
