Production Machine Cleaning  |  Job Date: June 2005

Garlock Sealing Technology

The Objective

Garlock, an industrial facility that manufactures rubber seals, needed an area of the plant cleaned that had rubber and dust build-up on their press machines and overhead structure. This was necessary to maintain product quality as well as improving performance and longevity of the press machines.

The Solution

The JIS crew sprayed an organic degreaser (will not cause harm or damage to equipment) to dissolve rubber build-up that had accumulated over the years. The overhead structures and press machines were then cleaned with a hot water pressure washer to remove any remaining build-up. The water and debris were removed by high pressure air that directed the debris to a high volume vacuum for disposal.

The Results

  • Press machines and overhead structures were cleaned to the customers satisfaction.
  • Improved the performance and longevity of the press machines.
