Water Treatment Plant  |  Job Date: January 2006

Village of Lyons

The Objective

Lyons Water Treatment Plant had developed large amounts of iron build-up in the 6in piping giving approximately 2in of flow. Lyons had been purchasing water from nearby towns in order to meet the supply demands from their village. The piping needed to be cleaned to increase the productivity of the Water Treatment Plant and eliminate the need to purchase water.

The Solution

The JIS crew removed the iron build-up in the 6in piping by using a high pressure water blasting hose to travel through the areas of concern, determined by the Village Engineers. The debris was collected by our high volume vacuum, preventing the iron build-up from circulating into the water system. Our crew used a 6in crawler to view the cleanliness of the piping.

The Results

  • Water Treatment Plant piping was cleaned to the customers satisfaction.
  • Improved the quality of water and performance of the Water Treatment Plant.
  • Saved the Village of Lyons money by eliminating the need to purchase water.
