Collection Wells Cleaning | Job Date: April 2005
The Objective
Oswego City Pump Station Facility has a Swirl Concentration Facility and Wet Well Collection Wells that needed to be cleaned. After 28-plus years of operation, the storm pipe system has been collecting debris causing considerable decline in its efficiency. This debris needed to be removed from wells which was identified as confined space areas that are 20 feet down with a small access door located on the side.
The Solution
Our confined space trained and qualified crew with the associated permits and safety equipment was able to access the collection wells for cleaning. Operating a Vactor truck the Jamko crew was able to wash down the internal structure of the facility and using a high volume vacuum was able to remove all of the debris collected in the wells.
The Results
- Jamko cleaned the wells to customers specifications.
- Increased the efficiency of the Pump Station Facility.
