Ash Leachate Line Cleaning | Job Date: November 2005
The Objective
AES Lockwood Landfill needed its leachate pipe line system cleaned from excessive debris and build-up. This would help improve reliability and performance of the leachate system.
The Solution
The JIS crew was provided a map of the leachate system from site engineers. The crew used a high pressure water blasting truck to flush and remove materials located in the leachate lines. Pipe plugs, trash pumps and other cleaning equipment were used to assist in the cleaning to remove or block debris from going to other lines in the system.
The Results
- The leachate lines were completed to the customers satisfaction.
- Performance and reliability of the leachate system improved.
